Danville& Today Scott Eisenhauer (R-Danville), the current Mayor of Danville, announced his candidacy for state representative in the 104th District. His decision came in light of the recent announcement by Representative Bill Black (R-Danville) that he would not be seeking reelection.

"After careful deliberation, I have decided to seek the Republican nomination for the Illinois House of Representatives in the 104th District.
Citing his knowledge of municipal issues as Mayor of Danville as well as his vice-presidency of the Illinois Municipal League Board of Directors, he stated his unique experience would allow him to have a strong presence in Springfield. "I understand how the decisions made in Springfield directly affect local government, and I want to work hard to make sure their best interests are represented," he added.

"I believe the next few years are extremely important ones for the State of Illinois and certainly for the residents of the 104th District, and I feel my experience and my passion make me ready to continue the great work started by Representative Black," he stated.
Eisenhauer has been married to his wife Amy for 1 year and has two step-daughters, Alexis and Alyssa. He is a member of the Holy Family Church. He and his wife will be hosting "meet and greets" throughout the district in the near future.
