Should be a beautiful morning for a walk

Members of the Champaign County Moon Walkers and all others are invited to a free, 3.5-mile historic and architectural walk around the University of Ilinois campus Saturday morning.
I'll lead the walk, but that doesn't mean I'll be the main authority. I chose the route, but I'm anticipating that there will be other folks with us who are much more knowledgeable about University of Illinois buildings, architecture and history. In any case it will be a fun walk.
We'll start at 9 a.m. in the parking lot at the southwest corner of Springfield and Goodwin avenues, then head south.
Among the sites we'll stop by will be Freer Gym, the Krannert Center, the Morrow Plots, the ACES library, the Stock Pavilion, the Krannert Art Museum, Memorial Stadium, the Assembly Hall, Huff Gym, the Armory, the Library, Auditorium, Observatory, Smith Memorial Hall, Lincoln Hall, the Illini Union, Altgeld Hall, Alma Mater and engineering Quad.
Since we should be over by 10:30 a.m., the weather will be fine. There's a chance of showers in the afternoon, but Saturday morning will be great with sunny skies, gentles breezes and a temperature around 72-75 degrees. That, plus the blooming flowers and trees on campus should make for an ideal morning.
I hope you can join us. All you'll really need are walking shoes.
