This woman is, uh ... unusual.

"U of I Trustee Blames Chief Illiniwek for Admissions Controversy"

Frances Carroll says she's not responsible for the admission of unqualified, politically-connected students to the school. Carroll says demands that she step down are being fueled by an earlier school controversy.

CARROLL: This call for all the trustees to resign, I feel, is pressure about Chief Illiniwek as the mascot, a symbol, for the University of Illinois.

U of I trustees retired the controversial school mascot in 2007. That caused a backlash among some alumni.

Of course she thinks this is about Chief Illiniwek. She was put on the board by Emil Jones for one purpose-to eliminate Chief Illiniwek. Her only connection to the board is Chief Illiniwek; the old saying about "when your only tool is a hammer, you see every problem as a nail" comes to mind. This woman has absolutely no business being on the board in first place.

Her qualifications for office seemed to be that she wrote "The Diversity Game", and forced schools to use tax dollars to buy it. That has absolutely nothing to do with helping to run the University of Illinois.

Not only should she be fired, she never should have been hired at all.

The sooner all these trustees are gone, along with White and Herman, the better for the University.
