That Sun-Times pensions series

A four-part series on public pensions that began today in the Chicago Sun-Times likely will include U.S. Rep. Tim Johnson, R-Urbana, who in addition to his current $174,000 a year congressional salary, last year received $64,554 from the legislative pension he gets for his more than two decades of seriec in the Illinois General Assembly.

I expect that Johnson will come up in Sunday's second part of the series: "Double-dippers -- collecting a pension and a paycheck from the taxpayers."

But he deserves it for his sage observation that the health-care system does have flaws.
It takes deep analysis to reach that conclusion.
