Rentals for boats at Crystal Lake Park begin Saturday

From the Urbana Park District:

Boating season at Crystal Lake Park in Urbana will begin Saturday.
You can rent a paddle boat, canoe or rowboat at the lake.
The Lake House is open from noon to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays from Saturday until May 23.
Between May 27 and Aug. 15, rentals are available from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, plus Memorial Day May 31
From Aug. 21 through Sept. 19, the Lake House will be open between noon and 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, plus Labor Day Sept. 6.
The Lake House will close when weather conditions make boating unsafe. Call 328-1069 for updated information.
Rental fees are:
— $6 for a half-hour or $8 an hour for canoes
— $6 for a half-hour or $8 an hour for rowboats
— $8 for a half-hour or $10 an hour for two-seat paddle boats
— $9 for a half-hour or $11 an hour for four-seat paddle boats
You can save up to 25 percent on these prices by booking a group boat rental at least a week in advance. Call the Phillips Recreation Center at 367-1544 to arrange a group boat rental.
A valid driver’s license or major credit card is required as a deposit on all rentals.
Cash or check with valid ID are accepted as payment, and the Lake House does not accept credit or debit cards.
Fees include Coast Guard-approved life jackets with sizes ranging from infant to adult.
An adult must accompany anyone younger than age 16.
