New policy on News-Gazette milestones
The News-Gazette is changing its policy on engagements, weddings and civil unions.
Effective June 1, there will be a $20 charge for all engagement announcements. Weddings will continue to carry a $50 charge and so will civil union ceremonies.
For those who wish to publish announcements both before and after their “big day,” there is a discounted price of $60 — a $10 savings.
All submissions will require payment before publication. The new forms will be available online here starting June 1.
We will continue to publish birthdays, anniversaries, new names in the news and other milestones at no charge.
Customized announcement: If you would like to write your own announcement or include more than one picture, our Advertising Department can help you.
You may call 217-351-5299 to discuss options, layouts and prices.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 217-351-5219.
