In Tuesday's News-Gazette, Urbana budget, Mahomet superintendent, orange and blue Redbird

In Tuesday's newspaper, we'll have reports on Urbana's budget and a vote on a storm water fee, a new superintendent for Mahomet-Seymour schools, and many other stories in news and sports.

Patrick Wade reports that Urbana Mayor Laurel Prussing on Monday presented a budget for the fiscal year starting in July with few significant changes from last year — some consider that good news in these days of declining revenues.

Wade will also be covering the Urbana City Council meeting, where the main topic will be a storm water utility fee.

The Mahomet-Seymour School Board is scheduled to vote to hire a new superintendent on Monday night, and Amelia Benner of the Mahomet Citizen will be covering the meeting.

On our Family page, just in time for Mother's Day, columnist Julie Wurth writes that she thinks we need to make it clearer to our children how much goes into this business of “just” being a mom.

And in Sports, our staff is keeping track of the situation at Illinois State University, where a coach with an orange and blue background expected to take over the Redbirds.
