Changes in TV grids

On Sept. 1, The News-Gazette began using television grids for our daily newspaper and weekly TV This Week magazine from a new listings provider. A number of readers called or wrote us about the new grids, and in response, we’ve arranged with provider FYI Television to address some of the issues readers brought to our attention.

Starting Oct. 1, the daily TV grids were expanded to carry programming from 6 to 11:30 p.m., and we’ve dropping the “Tonight’s picks” to make more space for those listings. We’ve also add Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) programming to the daily grids.

In TV This Week, which we publish on Friday in newsstand papers and distribute to readers who subscribe to it, we’ve included Sunday late-night listings, restored news and music channels to the grids for each day instead of listing them separately and cut down on the number of premium channel listings to make space in the grids for the news and music channels.
