Mini Update – We Have A Winner!
The scores have been tallied and…
…congrats to BleedOandB, who had the lowest RSTD among those who picked all nine games and had the best record (6-3). Shoot an e-mail to Jim Rossow (firstname.lastname@example.org) to make arrangements to pick up your prize…two tickets to the men’s game vs. Indiana this Thursday and tickets to the women’s games on 2/10, 2/18, 2/23, and 2/28. If you can’t use any of those tickets, please make an effort to give them to someone who can. And when you e-mail Jim, make sure to use the e-mail that you used when you created a profile on IlliniHQ…so he knows it’s really you. No funny business on this one, gang.
Other facts and figures from this round of picking…
Among the 44 picker this game, we had a three folks – Reillini, BleedOandB, and myself – pick the spread correctly. 27% of you picked Wisconsin and came up a winner. Overall, we’re still at 76 total pickers (no new pickers this game).
So now we embark on the second half of our prediction season. I hope you all have had fun reading, and I appreciate all of the positive feedback. My goal from the beginning was to keep things light, and I think we’ve accomplished that so far. I also can’t stress enough how much I enjoy reading everyone’s analysis that they submit along with their predictions. It’s great to get so many perspectives, and often times I read something and think…”that’s a good point…I should have put that in the blog in the first place!”
Don’t forget to keep picking too. The top picker at the end of the regular season wins tickets to this fall’s Illini football season opener. Since BleedOandB has already won, he/she can’t win again, so things are wide open for those of you who haven’t missed a game so far. Regardless of how the team does, we’ll continue to have fun. Hope you’ll join me for the second half of the ride.
COMING UP ON MONDAY: A full blog post…including thoughts on the Wisconsin game, a preview and prediction of the Indiana game, and soundbites from Coach Groce and Coach Crean.
