From the blog: 2017 little league baseball on WDWS

Blog PhotoMy favorite time of year at WDWS isn't when Illini football or basketball season begins. It's Champaign-Urbana Kiwanis Little League Baseball season. Since 1999, DWS has broadcast little league games as a way to spotlight the youngsters and give their friends and families a chance to listen from afar. And 2017 will be no different. I'm pleased to announce this year's schedule.

You'll notice a new name on the list of announcers. We're pleased to announce that midday DJ on Lite Rock 97.5 WHMS Alli Adams will be calling games this year.

Blog PhotoYou'd be hard pressed to find a bigger Chicago Cubs fan around the radio center than Alli.

I also want to give thanks to radio staffers Scott Beatty, Mike Haile, Dave Burns, Jim Lewis, Ed Bond, and Carol Vorel...all of who have a hand in making these broadcasts possible.

As always, you can hear the games live in three ways: 1400-AM, streaming on your desktop computer here, or streaming on your smartphone or tablet via the TuneIn app. And the games will be available to listen on-demand and download here.

If you've never listened to a little league game before, here's a taste:

Thanks for your continued support of our little league broadcasts, and we hope you can tune in this summer.
