For the Fans (November 2011)

Our Second Winner and Basketball Predicting Begins!

First of all, I want to thank everyone for taking time out of your day to read my blog.  I am by no means an expert on Illini sports.  I just want to provide something fun for the fans and hopefully you've enjoyed it.  We had a grand total of 128 different people make at least one prediction during the Illini football season. You've definitely kept me busy.

Final Prediction Standings - We Have A Winner!

While the Illinois weren't able to finish the season strong, dave1956 did.  Because of that, he wins a pair of Illini men's basketball tickets to the Big Ten game to his choice!  Congrats Dave!  Please send me an e-mail (tyoung@whms.com) and we will get you set up with your tickets.  As for the other pair, a number of you have qualified for a chance to win.  I will have

Predictions for Illinois-Minnesota

MY PREDICTION

ILLINOIS 24          MINNESOTA 17

Prediction Standings Through Week 11

The good news was Illinois played well enough to beat Wisconsin on Saturday.  The bad news was they also played poorly enough to lose to them.  Illinois controlled the game and was actually beating the Badgers, but special teams and turnovers once again put the defense in a tough spot and another loss is the result.

Predictions for Illinois-Wisconsin

I've had a busy day and almost forgot to make a prediction.  At least I remembered to get it done today.  I want to make sure you guys have plenty of time to submit what you think will happen on Saturday.  So what do I think?

MY PREDICTION

#15 WISCONSIN 38          ILLINOIS 14

Prediction Standings For Week 10

Another Illini loss isn't exciting, but it made the prediction standings very interesting as we approach the final two games of the regular season. Our buddy CARPET predicted an Illini win. Because of that, things got a little tighter at the top for those looking to score some Illini Big Ten basketball tickets.

Predictions for Illinois-Michigan

This week, NCAA Football 2012 thought the Illinois would continue their offensive slumps.  At the same time, they thought Michigan would run all over the Illini defense.  This simulation wasn't pretty.
