OK. It's back to work time and it's a good thing.

Another high school sports season is about to start. By my count, in nine more days preseason practices will be under way for the fall-sport teams. Guess that means I have a few days to get organized before I get overwhelmed.

There's nothing like a little time off to make one ready to get back to the grind. It seems like the vacation days get shorter every year. How is that possible??

Nonetheless, bring on the story ideas, if you have them.

If not, I'll just have to start seeking them out. I'm always anxious to hear about good ideas.

Meanwhile, I'm still studying this year's football schedules   in order to determine which ones I'll be at on Fridays. Any recommendations?
