A coworker once said to me, "You know, when they told me you were going to write a blog about the comics, I thought, 'How is she going to find enough material to write about the COMICS?!' That seemed impossible. But I'm amazed by how much you've found to write about!"

It's finally here. The last big round of changes to come out of The News-Gazette's Stay or Go comics poll. While the story won't be published until Sunday (Entertainment section), blog readers can get the scoop here first. Be sure to let me know what you think afterward.

My editors and I have had a few readers upset by the fact that The Dinette Set didn't appear in the Classifieds the other day.

Customers are so upset that they're emailing creator Julie Larson and asking if the rumor is true that The News-Gazette is cutting her strip.

No! No way! Not a chance! The rumors are FALSE!

I haven't really had the chance to surf (or "serf" depending on your punny bone) through the Comics Kingdom portion of The News-Gazette's website.

Desperate for a blog for today, I'm going to do so right now ...

... and I'm back.

My dad, who is now retired, served the United States Postal Service proudly for more than 20 years. It was his second uniformed government job, having proudly served in and retiring from the United States Army, a career he began just after high school.

And it's fair to say, I think, that in his second career he saw his fair share of dogs. Big, small, grouchy and nice.

That's right, I'm just back from a week at Disneyland, celebrating the end of the comics survey. Well, the trip was planned way before that, but it was still a nice celebration.

Starting in today's comics page we'll be giving a warm welcome to our two newest Guest Comics, Cul de Sac and Cow and Boy!

The most requested comic during The News-Gazette's Stay or Go comics poll in February was Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes.

A reader recently noted to me that Judge Parker has had some pretty scandalous -- bordering on salacious -- drawings lately. Now, I'll admit that I haven't followed the strip that closely as of late, but upon investigating the claim, I will agree that whoever is crafting the female featured character now must really be relishing the task.

I am in love.

For the last several weeks, I have had strong feelings for someone that isn't my husband. I can't get enough of her.

Yes, I said "her." Her name is Belle, and she's absolutely breathtaking.

Worst thing is, my husband introduced me to her.
