A coworker once said to me, "You know, when they told me you were going to write a blog about the comics, I thought, 'How is she going to find enough material to write about the COMICS?!' That seemed impossible. But I'm amazed by how much you've found to write about!"

I took it as a compliment at the time. But on second thought, it may have just been a nice way of telling me that I don't know when to shut up.

Well, for the last 17 months, blog readers have been kind enough to let me ramble on about all-things comics. From what I found funny to what you found funny, from the history of strips to the future of News-Gazette comics, we've managed to find something to discuss along the way.

I've enjoyed talking to people about the comic strips that they just can't live without — and the ones they just can't live with.

But now that the Stay or Go comics poll is fully implemented, the time has come for me to close up shop on The Funnies.
