Greetings!

Due to Illinois/Penn State game in the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday and the exciting Central High School and Illini wins resulting in games on Friday afternoon, GARY O'BRIEN AND FRIENDS has been pre-empted. How exciting to see our teams do so well and to hear them on the radio!

The guests previously scheduled, as mentioned in my blog and even perhaps in the newspaper ads, for Thursday and Friday have been or will be rescheduled for future shows.

Former New York City Mayor Ed Koch and Abraham Bolden, who was the first African American Secret Service Agent on White House detail protecting President Kennedy, will be rescheduled for sometime in early April. Also, David Boren, former Governor of Oklahoma and current President of the University of Oklahoma will be rescheduled but no details yet as to when. Check in to my blog to find out when they will be on the show.

James Parrish, the wonderful celebrity writer and biographer, has been rescheudled for Tuesday, April 1 during the 3:00 hour. We'll discuss his terrific book on the life and wacky career of Mel Brooks as told in his book IT'S GOOD TO BE KING: THE SERIOUSLY FUNNY LIFE OF MEL BROOKS. That will be fun.

ALSO COMING UP IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS...
+ David Newell, better known as Mr. McFeeley from the Mister Roger's Neighborhood Show. We'll talk about Mr. Rogers and 'National Sweater Day' which is a tribute to Mr. Rogers on what would have been his 80th birthday.

+ Emmy-winning and renowned television journalist Gerlado Rivera

+ 92 year old fitness guru and legend Jack LaLane

+ music star LeRoy Van Dyke, best known for "Auctioneer" and "Walk on By"

+ movie legend Ernest Borgnine

+ Statler Brothers Harold and Don Reid

+ comedy legend Carl Reiner

and more. Check in to my blog for the specific dates these great guests will be on the show!

Thanks for listening to Gary O'Brien and Friends, weekdays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.!
