Rick Reinhart, who compiled a 99-77 record in 18 seasons as the coach at Bethalto Civic Memorial has agreed to become the next football coach at Tuscola, new athletic director Ron O'Hearn said this morning. The move must now be approved at the next Tuscola school board meeting on April 28.

Reinhart, who spent last season coaching at Alton Marquette, is a member of the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
In 19 seasons, his teams have qualified for the postseason nine times.
"He came across as the kind of guy you want your kids to be around, not only as a coach, but as a teacher," O'Hearn said. "In the interview he stressed that the student-athlete comes first. He's had great success in the past and is a Hall-of-Famer and just a great person. We're excited to have him."
More on Reinhart's hire in Saturday's News-Gazette.
