Send those Box Tops for Education to Cunningham Children's Home

Box Tops for Education are an easy way for schools to earn money, as community members clip them from certain products and turn them in.

Participating schools earn 10 cents for each Box Top redeemed, according to the program's website.

If you're anything like me, though, you're at a loss when it comes to those box tops. I want to clip them, but it's not like I have kids or a favorite school in the community.

Until now. I've been attending a Methodist church, and I read in this month's newsletter the women's group is collecting box tops to send to Cunningham Children's Home in Urbana.

I wrote a story not too long ago about the Cunningham Children's Home, so I'm familiar with what they do and their connection with the United Methodist Church. The home helps kids with a variety of special needs and has two schools on its campus.

Even if you're not in with a Methodist women's group, you can still send your box tops to Cunningham.

Cloydia Hill Larimore, Cunningham's vice president of advancement, said she'd love it if you sent yours. You can mail them directly to:

So, if you're like me, no more making excuses that you don't have a school to give your box tops to. Save 'em up and send 'em off, and they'll be helping kids who have many other challenges, as well.
