Reusing a kitchen accessory for a welcoming front door

Reusing a kitchen accessory for a welcoming front door

I love a good wreath, but with the season changing, I'm sort of sick of the ones I've been rotating on our front door.

The other day, I had the wild idea to clear off one of the chalkboard cookie sheets I made for the kitchen last year and put it on the front door.

I'm so lucky to have an artsy husband, because I can't draw worth a darn. He drew a large D and added the words “Welcome to the Dickinsons'." It turned out pretty cute.

It's not a huge DIY project, but it was a fun chance to repurpose something. Have you done a lot of repurposing with your home decor? I'd love to hear about it.
