Making a Valentine statement by decorating my front door

Making a Valentine statement by decorating my front door

When I took down my Christmas decorations last month, I forgot to take down that paper wreath and chalkboard combo I rigged up for Advent. Monday, I figured it's probably time for a change.

Blog PhotoI have a cute little tinsel heart wreath I picked up a few years ago on clearance. I decided since the chalkboard-and-wreath method has been working for me lately, I'd try it again.

In this case, I found the chalkboard looked cuter under the tinsel wreath, and I wrote lovey-dovey song lyrics so you can see them underneath.

I like the result, at least enough to keep it up for the next two weeks. It will probably be longer, because I have no clue how to decorate for St. Patrick's Day. Or Lent. Feel free to send your ideas my way.

Lyrics are from "All You Need Is Love," by The Beatles. It happens to be the only Beatles song I like.

Really? It's the ONLY Beatles song you like? I'm flabbergasted to think that someone could not like the Beatles......but then again, I named my son Lennon, so obviously you know what my opinion of the Beatles is! :) Cute front door dec, by the way! I wish I had the motivation to decorate my house more.
