Demolition fun: prepping Erin's house for a new floor and bathroom updates

I've always said that my favorite parts of any project are demolition and finishing a job.

So I was thrilled to be working in Erin's computer room and bathroom last Friday night, tearing things out.

To be honest, it was tame demolition. Erin and I carefully pried off the baseboards, because Erin's going to paint and reuse them. While we did, Rob and Erin's husband, Tom, took down the accordion bathroom door, took out the sink and toilet and the large mirror on the wall.

A small sliver of the mirror broke off, but this was definitely not the dusty, dirty demo  you see on TV. And it went smoothly - we didn't discover anything rotten or in need of repair by a professional.

Here are a few before and after pictures into our progress so far. Erin's in the process of painting the entire space - after that we'll install new floors, a pedestal sink, a new toilet and a bifold door to their bathroom. It has great potential, so I can't wait to work more on it.
