House people: they can own new homes, too, right?

House people: they can own new homes, too, right?

I was thinking the other day, when I was walking my dog (we go on daily long morning walks, and this is where I do my deep thinking, if I'm awake enough) – there are lots of house people.

But are there further distinctions?

Rob and I are definitely old house people – we relish the refinishing and refurbishing projects, and tolerate things like insulation windows with those awful plastic kits (we were thrilled to recently take down the plastic. It's like someone took off the blinders inside).

But plenty of people are doing beautiful things with new houses, so they could be called new house people. Right? And lately, I've been noticing a movement of small house people - I'm even starting to identify with them.

Any of you house people want to chime in on this?
