Confession: I haven't decorated for fall and probably won't this year

This summer, I had a grand old time daydreaming about decorating for fall: using plaid, making my own pumpkins and so on.

Now that it actually is fall, guess how much autumn decorating I've done? Yep, absolutely zero.

Between work and taking a class and ... whatever else it is that sucks my time, there have been no pumpkins or plaid table runners or painted gourds gracing our home.

Which, turns out, is fine with me - it means less un-decorating when it's time to decorate for Christmas. I always make time to decorate for Christmas. Well, except the year we got married.

So, I'm not the only one who's had an epic fall-decorating fail, right? Please tell me you don't have any pumpkins either?

No pumpkins. I like to carve intricate details in them but I haven't had time this year. Halloween was my brother's favorite holliday. One year he went over to Country Club Road with a friend and some sheets and the ran out of the cemetary at cars in the dark on halloween with the sheets over their heads. He loved that memory.
