Some neat ideas for crochet baby blankets
It seems like many people I know are expecting babies soon, or expect to be expecting in the near future.
I've started crocheting baby blankets to have on hand for shower and welcome-baby gifts, which means I'm also on the hunt for cool, different baby blanket patterns. I loved the chunky baby blanket I made with the Solomon's Knot stitch, but I'm ready to try some new things.
Here are some ideas I've collected on Pinterest. Imagine these in softer colors, with softer yarn.
I've especially been looking for blanket patterns that will look OK with variegated yarn. I don't love the stuff, but I feel like a lot of baby yarn comes in variegated colors. It's good to be versatile, right?
Also, several of the ideas I found use motifs from a book called "Beyond the Square Crochet Motifs" (think granny squares, but cooler), sewn together. I got this book for Christmas, which is why I've been searching in particular for blankets made using its patterns.
