Putting together some ideas for a comfortable, DIY garden bench

This happens just about every spring, but I've been on a gardening kick lately. I've actually been enjoying weeding and have divided and transplanted 22 plants so far.

The next step, I'm hoping, is to create a space where I can read in the back yard.

We have a patio complete with a patio table and chairs, but they're not comfortable enough to spend an afternoon in. We don't have any trees, either, otherwise I'd put up a hammock.

Since that isn't an option, I'm looking for bench ideas that Rob could recreate in his workshop. Here are some ideas from Pinterest.

You don't have any swings. Remember when you were a kid and how much fun it was to sit in a swing? I love the one I have on my front porch. I have fantasies about building a gazebo with a different one for my backyard. But there are a lot of free-standing swings out there. Some are big/long enough to lie down on and swing. Nice way to swing or cuddle!
