Meg Makes: Recipe for Turkey Spread, to make with leftover turkey

I've been hitting the leftover Thanksgiving recipes hard this year, mostly because my readers are sending in amazing ideas. Plus, I've covered Thanksgiving Day recipes pretty heavily in the past - you can view those by clicking here.

Today's recipe is another from Jennifer Wilson, who sent me several more gems I'll be sharing here. She took the photo, too, and I've used it with her permission.

Turkey Spread
Makes about 4 cups

5 cups leftover turkey
1 large sweet onion
1 slice white bread
2 cups Miracle Whip

Using a meat grinder, grind leftover cooked turkey into a bowl. Then grind onion. Finish with white bread. Mix in Miracle Whip. It's preferred over mayonnaise, to balance the sharpness of the onion.

The spread is best when refrigerated three hours before serving. Serve with Swedish crispbread or rye crackers.
