Efficiency Stats - Alabama

Much like the Michigan game, the second half of this game didn't matter much.  Alabama led by 30 points in the second half and cruised to a 79-58 win over Illinois.  The Illini's season ends with a thud and a 19-14 record.  As for the efficiency stats:

  • 0.92 PPP
  • 37.7 eFG%
  • 37.8 OReb%
  • 15.9 TO%
  • 16.9 FT Rate%

All those numbers got better in the second half, but it didn't matter.  Alabama's stayed about the same:

  • 1.25 PPP
  • 68.1 eFG%
  • 20.8 OReb%
  • 15.9 TO%
  • 46.8 FT Rate%

Not much more to say.  Thanks for reading this blog all season.  Hope next season is better.

And we thought the Michigan game was bad.  This was the worst half for the Illini since...when?  Maybe the second half at Nebraska in 2012?  Not sure.  Anyway, here are the ugly numbers:

  • 0.65 PPP
  • 34.4 eFG%
  • 28.6 OReb%
  • 23.5 TO%
  • 0.0 FT Rate%

Nothing good there.  As for Alabama:

  • 1.29 PPP
  • 71.2 eFG%
  • 25.0 OReb%
  • 17.6 TO%
  • 38.5 FT Rate%

When you get mostly layups and dunks, your shooting percentage goes way up.  The second half can't get any worse, can it?
