It's only April, but the buzz is already building over Shoe Fest in September. The second tier of tickets is already almost sold out, with the third tier going on sale tonight at midnight (currently $55 for a three-day pass, $65 after midnight--not a bad deal at all). The lineup already looks great, with The Bluegrass Ball with the Travelin' McCourys, Tyrannosaurus Chicken, the Ben Miller Band, Jaik Willis, EGI, Ed Anderson, Grood, Honest Monday, Magic Box, Pete Jive, and Under the Willow. More fantastic artists are sure to come, and I for one can't wait to be back at Camp Shaw. Just a few minutes outside Kankakee, it's just such a perfect place for an event like Shoe Fest. I can't wait to walk in the river and enjoy some Bent River brews while Old Shoe tears it up. So if you don't already have plans for September 6-8 (and if you do, change them to Shoe Fest), get your tickets soon, because you don't want to miss the best end of summer party the Midwest has to offer.
