The Man Who Stepped Into Yesterday

So I was going through a bunch of music that I hadn't listened to in a while, and I found a massive archive of old Phish/Trey Anastasio stuff. One of the files was called The Man Who Stepped Into Yesterday, and seeing as how it contained some Phish songs like "The Lizards", "Possum," and "Wilson", I did some reading on the subject. Turns out I'm pretty late getting to it, but The Man Who Stepped Into Yesterday is Trey Anastasio's senior project from Goddard College in Vermont, recorded in 1987. It's a fantasy story that takes place in the fictional land of Gamehendge (which is also the setting for numerous other Phish tunes, like "Icculus" and "Axilla"), and it has all the elements of a great story: a people who have been subjugated by an evil dictator, a hero with a tragic love interest, and a supreme being orchestrating it all, with just enough unique twists and turns to keep it interesting. Considered by some to be an unreleased Phish album, there are no official releases, it can only be found by bootlegging or trading through the phan network. It doesn't take too much work to find it, so hopefully you can add this gem to your collection. Happy hunting!
