Eleanor Tallie in Bradley Tonight

Eleanor Tallie in Bradley Tonight

When you think of soul, what do you think of? Maybe it's horns, or a slinky guitar? Maybe it's a beat that moves in and sets up shop in your bones, so you just have to dance and sing? Maybe it's powerful vocals that speak truths we all hold dear but for whatever reason, we have a hard time expressing for ourselves.

Luckily, artists like Memphis-based Eleanor Tallie can do the job for us!

Eleanor Tallie has released her debut EP,  No Turning Back, and is having a show in Bradley, IL today as part of the Friends Of The Blues' annual music series. The producer of Eleanor's EP, Boo Mitchell, just took home a Grammy this month for engineering "Uptown Funk". The production was also a first-time collaboration with his son, Uriah Mitchll, who co-produced and rapped on two tracks on the album. In addition to this, Eleanor is charting on College Radio Charts, which is impressive for a debut album from a previously unknown artist. She has also been featured in a number of publications over the past month, including Sound & Silence, Grateful Web, Soul Central Magazine, and Blues Blast Magazine.

Brimming with high energy funk and soul, this EP is the first of many impressive moves from Memphis's own Israeli songstress, Eleanor Tallie.

If you're in Bradley tonight, go out and support a new artist!
