Bragg, Moore both big on Illini

Since his visit to the UI campus in the spring of 2013, five-star forward Carlton Bragg of Cleveland has held John Groce's program in high regard.

He said last month that he had yet to cut his list of schools down to five or six, but that Illinois — along with Kansas and Kentucky — would be a lock to make his final list.

He told SNY.tv's Nick Medline the same thing this week, highlighting the relationship he's developed with Illini assistant coach Dustin Ford.

“Coach Ford is a funny guy,” he said. “He’s developed a good relationship with me, my mom and my inner circle.”

For more on Bragg's recruitment, read Medline's story here.

— Another high-profile big man with the Illini high on his list is Doral Moore, a 7-foot, five-star player from Georgia.

Moore told CBS Sports that Illinois is among five schools that have stood out to him so far.

“I can come in and start as a freshman. I would pretty much be the main focus if I go there,” Moore said. “They need a big, they don't really have that many right now.”

More Bushleague Jackson cheerleading. So the Illini may be in their top five -- big whoop. How many other recruits named the Illini to their top five and went elsewhere? It's Sleepy Gazoo wishful thinking. Instead of objective reporting and analysis, it's all hype.

I'm so tired of this act- I'll continue to assume it's an act because I foolishly like to believe real people aren't this stupid, but I'll play along for fun as I'm occasionally wont to do- but please, cite the specific passages in this story that you find to be "cheerleading."

No, really. Please. Tell me which part of this post, the info of which was directly taken from two nationally respected recruiting news outlets, is "cheereading," and why. I'm indulging you by taking your idiot troll bait, so I beg of you: indulge me on this one. Because the bit isn't only beyond tiresome, but it was never entertaining to begin with.

You've probably noticed that Moon Unit from Uranus usually posts a comment on an NG article within minutes of its publication.   This suggests that she/he has no life other than trolling for sports articles.     Get a life,  Moonie

I hope that Coach Groce and the staff can land some of these 'big fish" .   Go Illini!
