The Chris Cringle Craft Fair opens tomorrow at the UI Assembly Hall. I love shopping Chris Cringle for unique gifts for my friends and family (o.k. I confess, for myself, too). But more importantly, the craft fair provides an opportunity to pick up some unique gifts for the dogs and cats in my life with the proceeds of my purchases helping homeless pets!
The Champaign County Humane Society and the Companion Animal Resource & Education (CARE) Center are sharing a booth this year, offering home-made dog & cat toys and animal-themed greeting cards. The catnip toys (crocheted or fleece) have been a great seller for CCHS for many years. Fleece dog pulls (available with or without tennis balls) are popular with many fine canines, including the handsome Black Lab featured here.
The craft fair opens on Friday at 3:00 and runs until 9 p.m. On Saturday, doors open at 9 and close at 5. Admission is only $5.00 and includes parking.
