Paws and Reflect (December 2010)

Last Adoption Promotion of 2010!

The final "Home for the Holidays" promotion at the Champaign County Humane Society is going on this week, through January 3rd.  To encourage adoption of our littlest residents, adoption fees for small animals are being reduced by 50%.

Meet the "Real Housecats of Champaign County"

This week at the Champaign County Humane Society there is no predetermined adoption fee for cats over the age of 7 years.  Instead, we’ll accept a donation at whatever level the approved adopter is willing to offer.  It’s all part of our Home for the Holidays adoption campaign.

Remembering Dr. Troutt, A True Friend to Animals

Sadly, on December 4th, the UI School of Veterinary Medicine lost Dr. Frederick Troutt, head of veterinary clinical medicine from 1988 to 1998.  The Champaign County Humane Society extends its condolences to Dr. Troutt’s family, friends, coworkers, and students.

Finding Homes for the Holidays

Throughout December, we're running a series of weekly adoption specials at the Champaign County Humane Society, hoping to see many of our animals go home for the holidays.  This week's special waives the adoption fee on animals that have been at CCHS longer than three months.
