Last night’s election brought great news for dogs in Missouri with the passage of the State’s Proposition B – legislation setting in place “common-sense, enforceable standards for large-scale dog breeding facilities” throughout the State.
Thanks so much to everyone who made a donation to cover the costs of surgery and rehab for Thanos (see post of 9/28/10). We’ve received about $900 so far; exceeding our goal by several hundred dollars. I assure you that any funds left over will be spent helping other animals with special medical needs.
If you're wondering whether the right dog for you can be found at an animal shelter . . . just take a look at the current available dogs posted on the Champaign County Humane Society's website.
In my last post I neglected to mention one more animal-related event happening this weekend. Tomorrow, members of Omega Tau Sigma are holding a pet wash to benefit CCHS.
