Going, going ... gold!

Next time you see Patty Cisneros, Carlee Hoffman, Emily Hoskins, Sarah Castle, Christina Ripp, Jennifer Ruddell and Stephanie Wheeler cruising through campus, be sure give them a high five. Both were on the gold medal-winning USA women's wheelchair basketball team, which just beat Germany 50-38 to take home gold. One of the team's assistant coaches, Robert Taylor, also has a UI connection.
The two are the latest University of Illinois-affiliated athletes to medal in the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games. For stats on the game, click here.

I'm confused about who "both" are in the second sentence since there are seven names listed in the first sentence.
