Verdell to announce

Verdell Jones says he'll make a college decision at 5 p.m. Monday at Jupiter's in southwest Champaign.
Jones' dad, Verdell Jr., told our Paul Klee his son will visit Arizona on Friday and Saturday before announcing his decision. That the Champaign Central senior is making one more recruiting visit is an indication he has yet to make a decision, his father said. The family had plans to visit Virginia the following weekend but will instead end the recruitment with an oral commitment.
