Ready for the Crazy K this weekend? You can still register online today and at the Champaign County Fairgrounds on Saturday. Should be a hoot.

Weekend of August 27-28:
— Car-X Crazy K
If you’ve been thinking about racing the Car-X Crazy K this weekend, it’s not too late to join a team or sign up on your own to run through a mud pit, climb a hay stack, crawl through a tunnel and negotiate a sea of tires.
On the occasion of Pat Mills’ 60th birthday party this past weekend, the partygoers carefully selected their attire for the evening.
Head out to Mahomet this weekend for its annual half-marathon and 5K. Get ready for the Crazy K the next weekend. And there are lots of races to choose from during Labor Day weekend.

Weekend of August 20-21:
— Mahomet Half-marathon and 5K
I’ve always wanted to ride the C-U Across the Prairie, but every year I have some commitment that keeps me from doing it. It’s no different this year. Wish I could ride it, but for those who will be out there, have fun.
It’s not the only ride this weekend. There’s also a couple of tris and several 5Ks.
Here’s the list.

The 76-year-old has been swimming regularly for almost two decades, but about six years ago, she stepped it up.
If you aren’t signed up to do the Champaign Park District’s Mini-Tri on Saturday, come out and cheer on the participants. The swim gets started at 7:30 a.m. at Sholem Aquatic Center, and you can watch folks bike and run around Centennial Park.
Here’s the rest of the action this weekend and next:
Weekend of August 6-7:
— Run for Raley
