Here’s an abbreviated version of The Fit List, with just this weekend’s races. (Busy week.) I’ll be at Shoreline in Decatur on Sunday. If you’re not already registered, it’s too late, but consider it for next year. It’s a good race.
Here’s this weekend’s races:
Weekend of Sept. 15-16:
— Bob Galloway Memorial Amish Country Bicycle Tour
I love this ride around my hometown area. I’m hoping I can get in at least the shorter distance in the morning. It’s Saturday and it’s organized by the Decatur Bicycle Club. There are distances of approximately 20, 42 and 60 miles.
For more information or to register, go to www.decaturbicycleclub.org.
— Savoy Orchard Days 5K
This 5K on Saturday has an uphill finish. There’s also a youth 1K fun run. They are part of Savoy’s Orchard Days Festival.

— Masonic Charity Trail Run
This is the first year for this trail run at Homer Lake on Saturday. It’s a 4.25-mile run or walk through the woods and along the edges of Homer Lake. The run is sponsored by Ogden Masonic Lodge #754 and it benefits the Developmental Services Center.
This is a fun run — it will be timed, but there won’t be individual results provided. There will be door prizes and goodie bags for runners.
