You can choose from a 12K run, a 4.37-mile run, or a 3-mile non-competitive walk. Stay for the post-race party with free beer.
The race is at 9 a.m. Saturday. Race day registration is from 7 to 8 a.m.
Gosia Konwerska of Champaign began biking to work two years ago, after her car broke down.
For six weeks, her bicycle was her only form of transportation.
She found that she enjoyed the fresh air and exercise in the mornings, saying that it helps wake her up.
“You enjoy the weather more than from the window of a car,” she added.
Between a job and supervising children, getting dinner, doing laundry, helping with homework, and chauffeuring the kids to Scouts, sports practices or music lessons, it’s not surprising many working moms say they have trouble finding time to fit exercise into their lives.
