Happy Memorial Day weekend! Here’s your list of races:

 

A new way to tandem

A new organization in Bloomington-Normal will help people unable to bicycle on their own enjoy the fresh air and sunshine of a bike ride.

Barb Brown of Bloomington founded Healing Rides to provide free bicycle rides in a special bicycle wheelchair tandem along the Constitution Trail.

Brown was unable to ride herself when she was being treated for cancer several years ago.

Be sure to head out the Mahomet on Saturday morning for Buffalo Trace, a very fun trail race at Lake of the Woods.

Trail by fire

Matt Halfar of Mahomet spent the winter months in Florida, enjoying the warm weather and watching the sunsets. He did so while hiking the length of the state, through wetlands, grasslands, forests, swamps and agricultural areas.
