And now, the President of the United States ...

President Barack Obama will deliver the commencement address at one lucky U.S. high school this spring chosen through the first “Race to the Top High School Commencement Challenge.”

The White House invited public schools to submit applications demonstrating how their school “exemplifies the best that our education system has to offer." Students at University High School have apparently decided to apply.

We thought we'd put together our top 5 reasons Mr. Obama should choose Champaign-Urbana:

1. Good photo op with three Olympic speedskating medalists.

2. A chance to go one-on-one with Centennial's Rayvonte Rice.

3. If you don't come, they might ask Bill Geist or George Will.

4. Alison Kraus could be your warmup act.

5. Two words: Papa Del's.

The real criteria for the contest are a tad more serious. Students, who will prepare the applications for their schools, have to show how they're making great strides on "personal responsibility, academic excellence and college readiness."

Applications are due March 15. Six finalists selected by the White House and Department of Education will then be featured on the White House website, and the public will vote for the three schools they think best meet the president’s goal. Obama will select a national winner.
