Planning a trip to the Texas Bowl over the holidays?
SugarlandMOM.com, a website based in suburban Houston, wants to welcome Illini fans to Texas with free tickets to the Children's Museum of Houston.
Dorothy Puch Lillig, owner of sugarlandMOM.com and a University of Illinois alumna, is sharing her Illini spirit by giving away four "family four-packs" of museum tickets. She'll pick four winners at random from families who email her by Sunday at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Children's Museum of Houston has three levels of fun-filled exhibits, and the website has a great interactive map.
Some highlights: Flow Works, a giant outdoor interactive water feature; Power Play, with a three-story climbing structure and rock-climbing wall; and Invention Convention, where kids can create their own contraptions with spare parts, drafting tables and instruments. There's even a Tot Spot for ages 3 and under to explore.
Lillig was a reporter for The News-Gazette before moving to the Houston area in 2000. She founded sugarlandMOM.com, one of the original mom websites. She and her family are living temporarily in Calgary, Canada, but they'll be attending the Illinois-Baylor game on Dec. 29.
She is not sharing the tickets with Baylor fans.
