Champaign's checkbook: $1.87 million during second half of October

The Champaign City Council approved $1,869,278.81 worth of checks this week.

Smallest charge was $1.34 at the Round Barn True Value for "Phone in dispatch" and the biggest check went to Feutz Contractors in the amount of $437,823.20 for John Street drainage improvements.

Also notable is $337,877.66 to the State of Illinois for work on the Curtis Road interchange, $247,510.30 to Hoerr Construction for sewer lining and $169.20 to The News-Gazette for a one-year subscription renewal.
