Milder, but wetter...

Milder, but wetter...

Showers & isolated thunderstorms will spread across the area Sunday, with the best chance for rain setting up north of I-70. Temperatures will be on the mild-side, with readings 50s.

Meanwhile, ice-jam flooding remains a threat in a few Midwestern river basins.

Elsewhere, much colder air will gradually engulf the nation, starting with the West and the North. By early next week, lingering warmth will be mostly confined to the Southeast.

The 6- to 10-day outlook calls for near- to below-normal temperatures and near- to above-normal precipitation across the majority of the U.S.
