Across the Corn Belt, cool weather and a few showers linger across the lower Great Lakes region. Meanwhile, mild, dry weather temporarily prevails in the western Corn Belt. Midwestern fieldwork is mostly limited to a few areas in the southwestern portion of the Corn Belt. 

Across the Corn Belt, rain showers linger across the Great Lakes region, while some wet snow is falling in the upper Mississippi Valley. Across the remainder of the Midwest, low air temperatures and cool, wet soils are severely limiting fieldwork.

Across the Corn Belt, a steady rain is falling from the upper Mississippi Valley eastward into Michigan. Most Midwestern fieldwork remains on hold due to wet weather; cool, soggy soils; and lowland flooding.

Across the Corn Belt, mild, sunny weather dominates much of the Midwest. However, unwelcome, heavy rain will overspread the middle Mississippi and Ohio Valleys by Friday morning.

An initial wave of showers & t-storms has pressed through during Tuesday morning. However, the strongest storms of the day are expected this evening ahead of low pressure and a cold front. The system will be moving from southwest to northeast.

Across the Corn Belt, showers linger in the Ohio Valley. Meanwhile, warm weather is returning to the western Corn Belt, although lowland flooding persists in parts of the upper Midwest.

Across the Corn Belt, showers and thunderstorms stretch from Ohio into southeastern Missouri. During the weekend, isolated tornadoes caused extensive damage in several communities in Iowa and Wisconsin. Spring fieldwork remains on hold in much of the Midwest due to recent and ongoing rainfall.

Across the Corn Belt, rain is slowing or halting spring fieldwork across central and eastern areas. Meanwhile, snow-melt flooding continues to worsen in parts of the upper Midwest, including the Red River Valley.
