Crash on I-74 delays morning traffic

CHAMPAIGN – Westbound lanes on Interstate 74 were blocked west of Interstate 57 after a tanker truck overturned early Wednesday while trying to avoid another truck.
Illinois State Police Sgt. Bill Emery said a semi-trailer tractor truck driver, Edgar Haertling, 72, of Steeleville, tried to make a U-turn from the westbound lane at a highway turnaround at 3:22 a.m. Wednesday.
