The latest film from award winning filmmaker Chris Olsen, "The Artsiders" will make its broadcast premiere in Champaign-Urbana on Sept. 12 at 9:30 p.m. on PBS station WILL-TV, channel 11. Crafted from nearly 40 hours of footage, Olsen's documentary weaves intimate discussions with dozens of Midwestern artists, dancers, actors, and performers, into a multi-layered exploration of the artistic life, examining why artists "do what they do" despite the hardships, frustrations, and financial difficulties that can accompany an artistic life.For more information:
