The Prairie Ensemble will play the first concert of its 12th season on Friday, September 28. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at University Place Christian Church, Wright St. at Springfield Ave., Champaign. Music Director Kevin Kelly gives a Concert Conversation at 7:00. The program includes Mozart's Serenade in C Minor for winds and Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 4, arranged for large chamber ensemble and featuring soprano soloist Desirée Hassler.
