DO you have a pond? Do you have a pre-formed water garden in your back yard? Or maybe you have a whiskey barrel with some fish? Do you have a liner pond with a waterfall? Or maybe you don't have a pond yet but have always thought about having one? If so, then the IAPE is for you! The Illini Area Pond Enthusiasts club (IAPE) is a pond club for anyone who has a water garden feature of any kind, or any who are just interested in learning more about water features. Our club members network with each other to discuss all aspects of water gardening, from plants to fish and everything in between. We also host guest speakers, social events at different ponds and great field trips throughout the year. The IAPE will be holding its first meeting of the season on Saturday, March 8, at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held in the Philo Tavern Sunroom, where you'll get an excellent view of their piece of paradise! Chris Sturdyvin, of Chriss Water Gardens will be the speaker at this meeting and will discuss opening up your pond for this spring. We will also be discussing the committees for the new year and working on our meeting agendas.
