Description:

Written by Tom Isbell Songs by Mark Russell Gregg Henry, director Kermit enters on stilts, and Archie rushes in carrying a caged animal. Ethel ballet dances to a Tin Pan Alley standard on the phonograph. Utter chaos reigns in the upstairs library at the White House. Only one thing is missing their papa, President Theodore Roosevelt and he bustles in a moment later. President Roosevelt just wants his three rambunctious children to quiet down and stay out of mischief, but when he gives them a copy of Treasure Island&out falls a real-life treasure map that sends them off to solve a decades-old mystery, following clue after clue from the Red Room to the President's Office and then on to the Lincoln Bedroom. The comical script by Tom Isbell plays off songs by Washington satirist Mark Russell (whom TV Guide calls "the funniest man on television") in this work commissioned by the White House Historical Association and the Kennedy Center's Education Department. Add to your own family story by enjoying a visit with this historic family! Recommended for ages 9 and up. Educational materials are available for this performance upon request at the ticket office. Ticket holders will receive copies before the performance. Tickets $4-$16
