Description:

Storytelling by Camille Born. The story of Ed and Lillian Gorak. Ed Gorak left Chicago for Army camp in September of 1941, and during the next 4 years, he took photos as he trained and fought with the Thunderbirds' 158th Field Artillery as a forward observer. Born shares the story of the war from the soldier's point of view, the Home Front through Gorak's correspondence with his future wife, Lil, and the liberation of the Concentration Camp at Dachau while sharing projected images of Ed's original war photos.
